I focus on creating intuitive, user-centered designs for geospatial solutions used by engineering companies like T-Mobile and PG&E. My work combines research, strategy, and technical expertise to address complex challenges and deliver impactful results.

Alongside my role at TRC, I’m a graduate student at the Academy of Art University, pursuing a degree in Interaction & UX Design. This academic journey has deepened my understanding of human-centered design principles and allowed me to refine my skills in crafting meaningful, innovative solutions.

As a welder and armory supervisor, I led mission-critical projects, ensuring equipment readiness and operational safety. My role required precision under pressure, leadership in high-stakes situations, and the ability to train others in welding and tactical operations.

During this time, I grew immensely as a person, forming lifelong friendships and gaining experiences that shaped my discipline, resilience, and adaptability.

background

Growing up I was always passionate about three things: creating digital designs, video games, and playing baseball.

Growing up I was always passionate about three things: creating digital designs, video games, and playing baseball.

Through my interest for creating digital designs, I found joy in bringing ideas to life and creating something visually beautiful. Through video games I was encaptivated by the immersive experience and it sparked my creativity and imagination. And through baseball I learned the value of teamwork, communication, and discipline, skills that translated into everything I pursued.

Growing up I also worked alongside my dad on construction sites and it showed me how the small details fit into a larger picture and gave me a hands-on understanding of how to create something meaningful from the ground up. These experiences shaped a mindset of growth and curiosity, driving me to continually improve and find ways to make a lasting impact in everything I do.

In this role, I managed projects and designed spaces that balanced form and function. Architecture challenged me to think systematically, paying close attention to every detail while considering the broader vision. It also taught me how to collaborate across disciplines and manage complex workflows, skills that now enhance my ability to design user-centered solutions. My architectural background gave me a unique lens to approach problem-solving, blending creativity with structure and logic.

strategy game buff

I have a love for strategy games, especially chess.

I have a love for strategy games, especially chess.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are playing chess with my dad. The game quickly became a favorite pastime, and it still holds that spot today. I love playing online and in-person. I love that chess is all about thinking several steps ahead - at a very quick pace.

Besides chess, I love a good game night with my friends. Some of my best memories are of a big group of friends coming over, spending time cooking a meal together, and then sitting down afterward to play a strategy game, like Catan. There’s something special about the combination of good food, great company, and the shared challenge of a game that brings everyone closer and makes for core memories.

the great outdoors

I enjoy a good summit.

I enjoy a good summit.

My love for the outdoors started during my time in the Navy. Weekends were spent driving to remote areas with friends, hiking long trails, and taking in the beauty of nature. And that sense of adventure has stayed with me ever since - it drove me to move to Colorado for college after the Navy to explore the mountains.

Now, hiking and backpacking are more than hobbies—they have become sources of inspiration. It helps me clear my mind and come up with new ideas. I love doing it by myself and with friends. It allows me to become aquatinted with my ideas and myself.

I love experimenting through cooking & creating new dishes.

Cooking has become one of my favorite ways to unwind. I enjoy diving into recipes from NYT Cooking and experimenting with new flavors or techniques. For me, cooking is more than just making food; it’s an opportunity to get creative, adapt to what’s on hand, and embrace the trial-and-error process. It reflects how I approach design—balancing function and enjoyment while finding joy in creating something new.

Cooking has been also a great way for me to learn to be okay with mistakes too. It’s allowed me to embrace the process, try new things without fear, and see every misstep as a chance to improve and create something even better. And sometimes the mistakes make the dish even better.

3d modeling

I’ve been diving into spatial design lately.

I’ve been diving into spatial design lately.

I’ve recently started to dive deeper into 3D modeling, this time using Cinema 4D. During my architecture career, I loved creating models to bring ideas to life and visualize concepts in a tangible way.

Now, I’m exploring how 3D modeling intersects with UX Design, finding new ways to integrate spatial thinking and dynamic visuals into user experiences. While I’m still in the early stages of rediscovering this skill, I’m excited about the creative possibilities it offers and how it can elevate my design process.
